On June 16th 2009, over 4,000 people from across Merseyside and the UK joined us at the Echo Arena in Liverpool for the launch of Redeeming Our Communities Merseyside.
The event was hosted in partnership with Merseyside Police, with around 250 officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Teams attending on the night.
The packed programme featured some great bands and performances, including MD Productions- semifinalists in Britain's Got Talent 2009. We also featured interviews with several top police officers, Louise Casey (Government Neighbourhood Crime and Justice Advisor), Andrew Lancel (from ITV1's The Bill), Gee Walker, and representatives of community organisations across Merseyside.
